CONTENT OF PROGRAM  

 

What does Love really mean?

From a Buddhist perspective, Love is the wish for happiness and well-being, unconditionally. How do we love ourselves and our bodies in this way? What if these very bodies are an expression of Love itself? How can we embody it, live it and be it? This is what we will explore through yin-yang yoga, various body practices, meditation, journaling and group interaction.

Yin yoga is a deep, quiet and passive (floor based) practice. Janine’s yang (active) yoga style is gently flowing with a slow and therapeutic approach. Teachings from various traditions and sources along with mindfulness activities, journaling and meditation will enhance the movement practices.

WHY REGISTER FOR AN ONLINE RETREAT?

 

While it is always beneficial to be together in person at a retreat center, we must be open to all options for us to connect and practice during these changing times.

We all need to retreat and replenish during this stressful time! While residential retreats may be preferable, adaptation is part of the new order, both in the yoga-meditation world and elsewhere.

An online retreat can still be a time for extended practice and relaxation; a time for quiet reflection, contemplation and inner inquiry. Alone yet together!

6:30 – 8:30 pm         Opening session (will include gentle movement)

 

Saturday, Nov 14
7:30 – 8:00 am         Meditation
9:30 am – 12:30 pm   Yin and Yang Yoga, Meditation, Teaching (with breaks)
3:00 – 5:30 pm         Alternative movement (Dance, Qi Gong, Fascial etc.), Restorative Yoga, Small Group Activities (with breaks)

 

Sunday, Nov 15
7:30 – 8:00 am          Meditation
9:30 am – 12:30 pm    Yoga, Movement, Teaching, and Closing (with breaks)
